Calendar Days vs. Business Days

Calendar days count every single 24-hour cycle between two points on the Gregorian calendar. Business days exclude Saturdays and Sundays, which is essential for legal court deadlines, payroll processing, and logistics tracking.

Boundary Rules (Inclusive vs Exclusive)

By mathematical default, date difference is exclusive of the final day (e.g., Oct 1 to Oct 2 is 1 day). Checking "Include End Date" counts both the start and finish days actively, yielding 2 days.

How many working days are in a typical year?

A standard 365-day year has 52 weeks plus 1 day (or 2 days in a leap year). This typically results in 260 to 262 working days (Mon–Fri) and 104 weekend days, before factoring in public holidays.

How does leap year calculation work?
